The BlueOptics BLMC001 Gigabit Media Converter is a high-performance, cost-effective solution offering one SFP Slot and one 10/100/1000M RJ45 Slot to covert electrical into optical signals. Supporting a data rate of up to 1Gbps with 100 Meter link length on Cat5E (or above) RJ45 patch cable and up to 160km on single-mode fiber. The BlueOptics BLMC001 Gigabit Media Converter increases the functionality and extends the productive life of both your legacy cabling infrastructure and networking equipment when adding Fiber to your network.
Various Possibilities for each Demand
The BlueOptics BLMC001 Gigabit Media Converter can be used in unmanaged environments for Network distances up to 160km. The BlueOptics BLMC001 Gigabit Media Converter supports duplex fiber or simplex fiber SFP transceiver modules for multimode and single-mode fiber applications (FX, SX, LX, LH, EX, ZX, BX). The BlueOptics BLMC001 Gigabit Media Converter uses Auto-Negotiation and automatically detects whether the copper port speed is 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1G, and performs a rate conversion to 100 Mbps or Gigabit if the fiber SFP speed is different. Also, it automatically detects whether a Gigabit or Fast Ethernet Fiber Optic SFP transceiver has been deployed and automatically adjusts.
